Community Service projects are broad in scope and are designed to benefit the community and individual community members.
October is Fire Prevention and Crime Prevention Month. The club takes this opportunity to recognize deserving First Responders at an Annual Banquet. The club has added the recognition of an EMT as a deserving recipient as well. Each year, the Fire Chiefs, Police Chiefs, and Emergency Medical Services Manger of Greenville, Mauldin, Simpsonville and Fountain Inn are asked for a recommendation of an Officer in their Unit that has gone above and beyond their daily duty to be honored as Officer of the Year.
Each year, nine Officers are honored at the dinner.
Book of Golden Deeds
Single acts of heroism can often be eclipsed by quiet, sustained demonstrations of sincere kindness and helpfulness. This points to the fact that heroes do not come in standard shapes or sizes. Each year, the club reaches out into the community to identify one of those heroes. The recipient is honored at the Annual Awards Dinner in June.
